Matthias Schweighöfer at Munich's ARRI cinema to celebrate the theatrical release of "Résistance - Widerstand"

RÉSISTANCE - WIDERSTAND directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz is a moving tribute to the exceptional artist Marcel Marceau, who proved in the darkest hour of our history that every human being must and can take responsibility. An intense film about the power of a dream and the power of art to make people smile in dark times.

Alongside the top-class international ensemble around Jesse Eisenberg (THE SOCIAL NETWORK) in the role as Marcel Marceau, Clémence Poésy (IN BRUGES, HARRY POTTER) as Emma, Karl Markovics (BABYLON BERLIN, THE COUNTERFEITERS) as Marcel's father Charles, Félix Moati (DEUX FILS, APRÈS SUZANNE) and Édgar Ramírez (VERSACE, GIRL ON THE TRAIN), Matthias Schweighöfer (VATERFREUDEN, YOU ARE WANTED, 100 THINGS) reveals the full range of his acting abilities in his role as SS-Obersturmführer Klaus Barbie.
